SUPRA GROM SERIES # 3

'MACKEY DOES IT AGAIN'

The third stop of the Supra Grom Series was held this past Saturday, 18th February on Lake Boga, Victoria.

19 year old, Troy Mackey again made the head to head battle, however an upset of Harley Clifford not making through to the top two, left 14 year old, Mitch Langfield with the task of battling it out with the Series leader. Mackey pulled through taking the win and accelerating himself into series leader on the rankings.

Langfield went out, and busted a Method Crow Mobe and Mobe Dick leaving Mackey to even the score, by throwing out a Whirly Bird, Heel side off axis 360, Tootsie roll and a heelside 5, proving too good for the 14 year old.

The presentation took place at the Lake Boga Tavern, Victoria with finalists winning stacks of Ocean & Earth, Masterline, O'Brien and Liquid Force gear and with the Top 8 Finalists taking home a combined total of $3,000 in cash.

Supra Grom Girls (19 years & under) were throwing down Backrolls, Heelside 180's and grabs, while the Junior Grom Division (14 years and under) were busting out Toeside 540's, Tantrums, Heelside 360's and crow mobes. The Girl Grom Division (14 years and under) were pulling out heelside 180's and toeside wakejumps.

King of Wake 2005, Josh Sanders commented that "It's been fantastic to put the series on and such an honour to see these youngster's riding get better and better each week. The riding level is unbelievable!"
