Supporting the industry
Ride Australia have always supported the industry from day one. Founded by brothers Josh Sanders and Justin Sanders who were originators of wakeboarding in Australia and the World. Ride Australia understands the application of there products and that without supporting the industry around it, there would be no sport, and allot of the lifestyle would be lost.

Heres a cool article written by Mick Watkins boarder mag in 2008. This sheds a little light on the history and experience Ride Australia has with events..... Enjoy.
Supra Grom Series
Rumours, bad mouthing, assumptions, debates and speculation are things that have unfortunately become standard practice in any small industry, and its no surprise that the wakeboarding industry suffers the same dogma. So lets set things straight on the Supra Grom Series
actually, lets start with Supra
actually, lets start with Josh Sanders and his clan of misfits behind Supra in Australia.
In 2002 the Sanders crew, with Josh at the helm, started one of the first ever Pro Wakeboard contests - the Australian Open. Its purpose was to promote the pointy end of the sport, give the pros a place to showcase their skills and give the future kids of the sport an inspirational angle into the sport with a level of riding to aspire to. In every way it was a complete success!
Two years following the commencement of the Australian Open, the Australian Pro Tour began and Sanders nominated the Australian Open as one of the events that the tour could use to get itself off the ground. The Australian Open became a fundamental part of the tours success in the early years; it was the opening event for the first year and the crowning round in following years, and its ability to be flexible and adhere to Pro Tour requirements made it a showcase event of the tour.
In 2006 Nautiques decided to jump on the Pro Tour as major sponsor, which created a conflict of interest with the Australian Open, as Sanders new company, Ride Australia, was now importing Supra Boats and Supra had been a major sponsor of the Australian Open for 3 years. But Sanders didnt jump up and down, make a fuss or play the claim game on the fact that he was one of the key foundations in creating the APTW. Although he could have done all of these quite legitimately, he simply, quietly, and without any fuss to anyone else, moved his focus to the younger members of the wakeboarding community and created the Supra Grom Series.
Following two successful years of the Supra Grom Series, the 2008 Australian Pro Tour has created its own Junior Academy Series. It was bound to happen, but unfortunately it again played direct competition to the Supra Grom Series. However, the Supra crew with Sanders direction again, didnt make a fuss. In fact they offered their services to be incorporated into the Junior Series, just like they did when the Pro Tour commenced. But, when the offer was pleasantly rejected, again they didnt cause a wave, nor played the blame game, they simply moved focus.
The simple point behind their actions all along has been to work in harmony with the industry to generate awareness of wakeboarding through events, for the betterment of the sport. They understand the limited resources wakeboarding has in Australia and know that causing any conflict will only hinder the sports ability to grow.
So, this year the Supra Grom series was a one off event. It was back in Nowra and after so much support that Supra has extended to the industry it was no surprise that the Supra Grom Series was a huge success again this year. Supra Team Rider Harley Clifford smoked the field with some impressive riding, but more so than the riding on the water, the way in which Supra and the Sanders crew have managed themselves within the sport over the last 5 years, displayed an absolute willingness to support the sport and the industry no matter what hurdles occur, has been the most impressive. And it all shows in the support of this event.
